We moved to Cinigiano, a small village in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in June 2022. We arrived from Genoa with our car full of luggage and boxes, immediately arousing the astonishment and interest of the locals, who for weeks couldn’t stop asking us with a smile, “How did you end up in Cinigiano?” Can you blame them? It’s not every day that you see two young people leaving the city to live in a small village with just a few hundred inhabitants. The truth is, we don’t have a real answer; it all happened by chance. From the day we decided to leave our jobs and open a glamping site, we were swept away by a series of events that fell into place perfectly, like pieces of a puzzle, and eventually led us here. We didn’t know this place before, and you could say we took a leap of faith, but now, one year later, we couldn’t be happier. It’s a special place that enchants with its breathtaking views, lush green forests, expanses of cultivated fields, and characteristic vineyards. The historic center, with its narrow alleys and beautiful stone facades, retains the charm of the ancient medieval village. The local population is welcoming and friendly, and Tuscan cuisine is a culinary excellence that you must absolutely savor. Here, you can slow down and live simply, following only the rhythm of the surrounding nature.
Throughout this year, we have tried to explore the surroundings as much as possible so that we can recommend the most beautiful places to visit to our guests. Within an hour’s drive, you can find natural hot springs (Saturnia, Bagni di San Filippo, Petriolo, Bagno Vignoni), the sea (Argentario coast, Cala Violina, Torre Mozza…), hills (Val D’Orcia), mountains (Mount Amiata at 1700 meters above sea level), lakes (Lago dell’Accesa), medieval villages (Santa Fiora, Pienza, Montalcino, Castiglione della Pescaia, Massa Marittima), Etruscan pathways (Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana). In short, there’s no shortage of options, and it’s a place that can be enjoyed to the fullest in every season.
